Sherman needs a forever home ASAP!! THIS GUY LOVES EVERYBODY

6 months ago Sherman was dumped at a relatives house after a promise to board him for a short period of time the owner never returned to pick him up or to take responsibility for him. He is currently living with two other dogs in a condo where there is a two dog maximum and the owner is being threatened by the landlord for eviction. He has already paid fines because his alternative would be to bring sherman to a local shelter. He has reached out to several rescues in his area who refused to take him. He is now desperate, so after meeting Sherman yesterday and seeing what a special boy he is, we have decided to step in and really help and get the word out about this magnificent dog. Sherman truly is ‘a tank’ he weighs about 110, but despite his size he truly is a big pussycat. All he wants to do is be next to crawl in your lap snuggle on the couch.

He is very good in the home and will even go into a crate with no issues. Sherman gets along well with ALL other dogs. He’s currently living with two Belgian Malinois and gets along with the dogs that are boarded at the condo. He has never had an issue with one of them. Mind you they are living in a confined space and he respects all of the other dogs. He is even ok with mellow cats.

The only issue Sherman has is he will pull pretty strongly on the leash and boy. Oh boy is he strong. A fenced yard would be perfect or somebody who could take him hiking on a long lead. Please note if you live in an apartment or a condo and he needs to be walked daily he will pull and he does need some work on the Leash. You must be strong.

At 5 or 6 years old he’s a perfect mellow ‘companion’ dog who takes up quite a bit of space, but is gentle quiet well behaved and super duper easy. We are told all he really needs is a couch. He loves to snooze and snuggle. We cannot say enough about this guy. He truly is amazing.
