Buttons is a handsome 3-year-old American Bulldog mix looking for a patient and experienced home where he can truly thrive. This strong, intelligent boy has a lot of potential, but he’ll need the right person to help guide him.
Buttons can show some “stranger danger” behaviors, meaning he may be wary or uncomfortable around unfamiliar people. He does best with slow, thoughtful introductions and someone who understands canine body language and can advocate for his comfort. Once he trusts you, Buttons forms a strong bond and shows his loyal, devoted side.
He will also need some work on leash manners, as he can be strong and reactive at times. Continued training—especially with a positive, reward-based approach—will be key to helping Buttons build confidence and learn appropriate behaviors. Professional training is highly recommended to set him up for success.
Buttons is searching for an adult-only home with no other animals, where he can be the sole focus and receive consistent structure, guidance, and support.
