Meet Marcus – The Chunky Little Tank with the Biggest Heart!
If you've ever wanted a dog that's built like a brick house but has the personality of a giant teddy bear, we'd like to introduce you to Marcus!

This handsome 2-year-old American Bully weighs 70 pounds of pure love packed into the shortest, stoutest little body you've ever seen. With his chunky build, adorable wrinkles, giant smile, and legs that are somehow shorter than your average action figure, Marcus is impossible not to fall in love with. Seriously... every step he takes is pure comedy.

Marcus didn't have the easiest start. He arrived as an unclaimed stray, absolutely covered in fleas and ticks, but even after everything he'd been through, he never stopped being sweet. Now that he's feeling better, he's making up for lost time by soaking up every ounce of love he can get.

His favorite things? People. Belly rubs. Scratches. More belly rubs. And if you bring out the hose on a warm day, you've officially become his favorite person! Marcus absolutely loves getting sprayed with cool water and will happily stand there soaking it all in with that signature Bully grin stretched across his face.

Marcus is wonderful with other dogs and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. Whether he's making new friends, waddling over for attention, or rolling onto his back in hopes of convincing you that his belly desperately needs rubbing, this lovable goofball knows how to steal hearts.

Behind those soulful eyes is a dog who's simply looking for what every dog deserves—a family to love him forever. We think Marcus has spent enough nights wondering where he'll sleep. It's time for him to trade shelter floors for a cozy dog bed, lonely days for family time, and uncertainty for the comfort of finally belonging.

Marcus doesn't need a fancy life. He just wants a home where he can be spoiled, loved, and reminded every day that he'll never be forgotten again.

They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico.

Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog.
If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
