An apartment in Wachula was abandoned... and the door was left open for the 5 dogs inside to simply fend for themselves.
Covered in wounds and completely lateral when found, this poor boy had clearly been through something. The police department started calling him Main Street, and when we heard his story, we couldn't let him become just another forgotten dog lost in the system.
Main Street was taken to the vet where thankfully nothing appeared broken. He was started on medications and hopefully would be okay after a few days and taken to Hardee County Animal Control. Like all shelters everywhere right now, they are beyond capacity and sadly the only available housing was an outside kennel.
He's just over a year old. Barely more than a puppy. And despite everything he's endured, there's still something soft in his eyes that says he wants to trust someone again.
So we stepped in to advocate for him—to give him a chance at safety, healing, and hopefully a future that finally looks different than his past.
Now he needs:
A foster willing to help him recover
Donations toward continued medical care
Shares to help him find the people who won't leave him behind again
Sometimes rescue begins with one simple thing: saying yes..
We want to try and help the others from this case as well as other sweet souls looking for a way outs
Fosters make the yes possible.
