Meet Dr. Seuss!

This sweet American Bulldog mix was supposed to be headed to a foster home, but before he could make that journey, we discovered an abscess that needed medical attention. So instead of settling into his foster home just yet, Dr. Seuss is taking a little detour to get the care he needs.

And honestly? After everything he's been through, he deserves every bit of love coming his way.

Dr. Seuss lived skinny and chained outside, but somehow, he never lost his faith in people. All he wanted was love, attention, and someone to tell him he's a good boy.

He is incredibly sweet and gets along with dogs, cats, and kids.

His past may have been hard, but we are committed to making his future completely different.

For now, Dr. Seuss is getting the medical care he needs. Soon he'll be ready to leave that past behind and finally discover what it feels like to be safe, loved and part of a family.
