Meet Junior!

Junior is an 8-year-old American Bulldog mix with a laid-back personality and a heart of gold. He's been an easy, go-with-the-flow kind of guy in his foster home, getting along wonderfully with other dogs, even those with bigger personalities. He's tolerant, patient, and enjoys playing when the mood strikes, especially with his dog friends, but is otherwise calm, quiet, and content to relax nearby. He shares toys nicely and shows no signs of guarding, making him a great companion for a multi-dog household.

Junior is fully housebroken and does well when left alone. While he's not crated regularly, he handles it just fine when needed. He may whine a bit at first but settles down without trying to escape. He's not a fan of car rides, so a home where those are kept to a minimum would suit him best.

Because he tends to chase cats, a cat-free home is recommended. He hasn't been tested around kids yet.

Junior does have a few quirks to be aware of. In some new environments, particularly around new people, he has occasionally tried to hump, though this hasn't been an issue in his current foster home. He can also be a bit stubborn at times and may need encouragement to do things he's unsure about. At the vet, he gets nervous and may react when being handled, but this is something he's actively working on.

The good news is Junior is extremely treat motivated, which makes training and building trust much easier. With a patient and understanding adopter who can continue to guide him, Junior will make a loyal, easygoing companion.
