DESCRIPTION
Meet Poppy!
At just 1 year old and a petite 34 pounds, Poppy is a delightful mix of youthful energy, beauty, and irresistible friendliness. When she first comes out of her kennel, her excitement shines through-but give her a moment to get those happy wiggles out, and she settles into a wonderful walking companion who's ready to explore the world by your side. She especially loves meeting new people and greets passersby with cheerful curiosity and a wagging tail.
Poppy rides well in the car and would make an amazing adventure buddy for someone who enjoys getting out and about. She's energetic and playful, yet she balances that enthusiasm with a loving, affectionate nature. She absolutely adores attention, leans into body rubs, and seeks out affection whenever she can. She can be a little mouthy or jump up when she's excited, but she redirects easily and is eager to please.
Bath time? No problem! Poppy stays calm through the whole process and seems to enjoy feeling fresh and clean afterward. She's also well-behaved in public settings and continues to show just how social and people-loving she truly is. While she can be a bit picky about treats, her charm and bright spirit more than make up for it.
If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate, playful pup who's ready for fun, love, and adventure, Poppy is waiting to bounce right into your life.
As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.
To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
