Herbie is a sweet, attentive boy with a unique look all his ownhes a little longer than he is tall, with adorable terrier-style scruffy hair and a charming basset hound body. His expressive face and loving personality make him impossible not to adore.

People are Herbies favorite thing in the world. He loves attention, enjoys being part of the family, and is happiest when hes spending time with his humans. Hes also dog-friendly and does well with children, making him a wonderful candidate for many types of homes.

Herbie has no food aggression, is comfortable in a crate, and has good house manners. Like many dogs, he enjoys chewing on soft blankets, so hell appreciate having a few designated comfort items of his own. Otherwise, hes not destructive and is a respectful house companion.

Herbies ideal home is one where hell get plenty of love, companionship, and opportunities to be part of everyday life. In return, hell reward you with unwavering loyalty, affection, and a constant wagging tail.

Herbie sustained an injury to his hips as a young man. At his previous rescue, he had two FHOs performed (one on each hip) so that he can live pain free. He just walks a little wonky.
