We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization which has rehomed over 11,000 dogs (and some cats) since 2012. We specialize in small breed dogs, many of them purebred or designer blends. We are a high volume, open adoptions rescue, with our focus on getting as many dogs and cats alive out of Texas and into loving homes. We have a regular transport from Houston every 2-3 weeks from Houston to Wisconsin, with adoption dropoffs on our route. We also assist adopters in the Lower 48 States in their arranging transportation of a rescue dog from Houston by meeting the adopters at the airport with the small dog in a travel underseat sherpa carrier.
We have a select few of our rescue dogs whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we provide for free to receiving shelters in the northern U.S. So, instead of only one rescue out of Texas, the fee enables us to ready for, and transport, more puppies and/or kittens to receiving shelters. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis (due mostly to our temperate weather where strays breed year-round and don’t tend to perish due to cold weather.)

We also make most of our dogs available for an exclusive hold with deposit, which are handled on a first-come, first-served basis with respect to the first person to place a deposit as instructed by us. The adoption is same day – if you appear on the agreed date and time, and you believe the dog is a good fit, you will be able to take the dog with you upon payment of the balance of the adoption fee (sales tax applies) and execution of our standard adoption contract. The deposit is refundable so long as you show up prior to expiration of the hold period, should you decide not to adopt him.
