Meet Murphy

Murphy's rescue started in a Walmart parking lot, where he was found lying beside a half eaten brownie. He was starving, painfully skinny, and clearly had been fending for himself for far too long. When we approached him, he didn't run or hide. Instead, he let us pick him right up and put him in the car, almost as if he knew he was finally safe.

These days, Murphy has traded parking lots for laps, and he couldn't be happier about it.

Murphy is one of the sweetest cats we have ever come across. If you have a lap, he wants to be in it. He absolutely loves car rides and is perfectly content to ride in your lap wherever you're going. Honestly, you don't even need a car. If there's a lap available, Murphy is there. We like to think there probably isn't anywhere he wouldn't go as long as he could ride along in someone's lap.

He will happily purr while you pet him for as long as you're willing. He even let us give him a bath without putting up a fight, which tells you just how trusting and easygoing he is. Murphy is affectionate, gentle, and just genuinely loves being around people. He has also done great with his foster cat friends.
