As they celebrate their first birthday, bonded brothers Chestnut (tabby) and Walnut (black-and-white) nap more than they play but are still full of youthful vibrance. They love lounging in windows and cat trees. Multiple times a day, Walnut and Chestnut are either being bathed or bathing another before cuddling together. They're always napping with fellow affectionate cats and are exceptionally loving with one another.

Walnut, who earned the nickname MooMoo because of his cow-print coat, erupts in purrs and indulges in snuggles with humans he trusts. His party trick is putting both paws in the water bowl while drinking, a habit he picked up as a kitten and continues to enjoy. Chestnut is incredibly sweet when he feels safe. As Walnut and brother Chestnut have matured, their confidence is really showing. They absolutely thrive around/with each other (and must be adopted together) but would also be successful with other affectionate cats.

These boys prefer a slower-paced, calmer environment and could do well with the right kid(s) in a home. One deal-breaker for Chestnut is young, rambunctious children, as he's afraid of quick, unexpected movements by humans. While initially timid of humans and fearful of being picked up, Chestnut has so much potential underneath his worries. He just needs a forever family to continue showering him with love. It takes both Walnut and Chestnut a day or two to get acclimated to new feline friends, and they're totally accustomed to dogs in their foster home. Chestnut and Walnut feel safest when they approach the humans versus humans approaching them.

Born in August 2025, Walnut, Chestnut and their siblings were found under a shed during TNR work. The litter was raised in a loving foster home. One by one, their siblings found their forever homes, and its now clear that Walnut and Chestnut are destined for a home together. Walnut and Chestnut are neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
