Like their famous namesakes, this crew is full of personality, mischief, and heart.
Homer, our goofy orange boy, started his adventure solo. He was found hanging around a Starbucks, apparently deciding that coffee wasn't enough and he needed a rescue, too! True to his ginger roots, Homer is active, social, and always ready to make people laugh with his antics.
The rest of the family was discovered at a local RV park after a friend heard the desperate cries of a kitten trapped inside a cylinder. That tiny kitten turned out to be Lisa, our beautiful meezer girl. Poor Lisa was covered in muck and terrified, but thankfully she was rescued before anything worse could happen.
Sadly, the area wasn't safe. Their mother and one sibling had already been struck by vehicles. Knowing there were more kittens out there, we began trapping to bring the remaining babies to safety.
Marge arrived with plenty of opinions and wasn't shy about expressing them from inside the trap. Maggie was the most frightened of the group, while Bart took everything in stride and remained surprisingly calm through the whole ordeal. There was one more tuxedo sibling, but he found his forever home with the kind friend who helped save them.
For nearly a week, these little ones received daily "purrito" sessionsbeing gently wrapped in blankets and showered with love, treats, and reassurance. Slowly but surely, the hisses turned into purrs.
Today, Bart and Lisa are the social butterflies of the family, eager to meet new people and investigate everything around them. Marge is right behind them, blossoming more every day. Maggie is still a little shy at first, but beneath that cautious exterior is a sweet kitten who simply needs a little extra patience to show her loving side. And Homer? Well, he's still being Homerplayful, charming, and keeping everyone entertained.
