Hans is presently at Medina Petsmart, and he has a lot to say about that! He is so tired of being in a cage, and will tell us so when we go in to care for him and the other cats there. meow, meow, meow.... He absolutely LOVES playtime, and will immediately go after toys to play with, or he loves the homemade house some sweet young volunteers made for the cats. If you already have an FIV+ cat that loves other cats and playing with them, please consider Hans! Hans is polydactyl, meaning he has extra toes that only add to his charm! He is also FIV-positive, (very faint positive test results) but don't let that discourage you. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives. The virus is primarily spread through deep bite wounds from fighting with fellow cats, so cats that get along peacefully can safely live together. FIV cannot be transmitted to people or dogs. Hans takes an inexpensive over-the-counter L-lysine supplement daily and will need to continue taking it in his new home.
