Shy doesn’t mean she doesn’t love. Sometimes it just means she needs a little more time.

Meet Kensington, a beautiful 3-month-old short-haired brown tabby who is looking for a very special person to call her own.

Kensington is a very shy little girl. She may hiss when she’s nervous or unsure, but please know that she is NOT aggressive. She’s simply scared and needs someone who understands that trust takes time.

Interestingly, when Kensington was in a dog crate where she felt safe and secure, she showed us her softer side and was actually affectionate and enjoyed attention. Once she’s in a larger environment with lots going on, she tends to hide.

Kensington needs someone who will be patient with her, give her a quiet space to decompress, and let her come out of her shell at her own pace. She may not be the kitten who runs up to greet you right away—but the love she gives once she trusts you will be worth the wait.
