DESCRIPTION

Looking for a safe barn or inside/outside home for two fully vetted cats who are a mother and son. The caregiver is moving out of state and cannot take them with her. She needs to find a place for them by August 25.

Here is the info on each cat. We would like to see them adopted as a pair.

Lil Mama: 6yrs old. Female. Spayed. Bi-colored: tabby & white. Long haired.
Lil mama is, as the name implies, the mother of all the cats. She is and always has been the most gentle soul. Lil mama had multiple litters before the caregiver could trap (or even touch) her. Most of them died and then the senior cat would impregnate her over and over again. When her second litter in a row died, she stood on the caregiver's front step screaming and let the caregiver pick her right up and bring her inside, which is when she was able to get her spayed. Lil Mama literally was just so sad and all she wanted was cuddled. After surgery the caregiver did a few days recovery and she continued to be petted and loved and didnt run away. She is skittish being back outside, but when its quiet and there arent cars rushing past - she comes and rubs up on the caregiver and lets her pet her. Shes a playful girl!! She loves to roll around in the grass and bunny kick and roll around on a wooden structure that is outside for the cats. She is always pouncing around the yard and honestly is just a really fun and playful cat!

Pearl: 4 yrs old. Male (named before his gender was known). Neutered. Full tabby.
Pearl's dream would be a barn cat or anywhere he can hunt! Hes a true hunting cat and is very good at it! Pearl is less playful than Lil Mama and really just hunts or lays down. The caregiver has always been able to pet Pearl and be right there with him, but in the past year he has just been staying more to himself. Most notably after the loss of his last and final sibling, who he was inseparable from. He tries to be friends with the caregiver's dog but her dog is 16 and doesnt know whats going on so Pearl spends most of his day just laying alone sleeping (where he used to roll around and play with his brother).

Both cats are used to other cats and there are always new strays born and coming around and they always try to head bump them (vs being scared or mean). Neither of them ever act mean or aggressive - they just run away from any potential fight. They are used to at least small dogs since that is what the caregiver has and they walk right up to her dog.

They could both be barn cats or indoor/outdoor cats. Please email us if you have a safe place for this mother and son duo: bandocats@gmail.com
