DESCRIPTION
Meet Pawl – A Resilient Soul Who Shines as a Big Brother .
Pawl is a 6-7-year-old cat with a face that you can’t help but fall in love with. After arriving at Forgotten Cats with an injured back leg that required amputation, Pawl spent his early days in foster care withdrawn and hiding, only coming out at night to eat. But he’s come a long way since then.
In late 2025, Pawl had the chance to foster some young kittens—and it was a game changer. He quickly embraced the role of big brother, teaching the kittens how to play, bathe, and navigate their world. This experience helped Pawl come out of his shell, and he’s been more visible and confident ever since. While he still prefers a calm, predictable environment, his time with kittens brought out a softer, more social side of him.
Pawl doesn’t engage with other adult cats, but he’s perfectly fine sharing space with calm, respectful cats. He’s not a fan of being picked up, but he’s started to enjoy head rubs and has a calming, gentle purr that will melt your heart. Pawl loves playing with toys and sleeps at the head of the bed on the floor—he won’t jump onto the bed, but he’s content with his own space.
Pawl is looking for a quiet, patient home where he can continue to thrive. He will make a fantastic big brother for other foster kittens or any home with a calm, loving environment. While he’s not a lap cat, Pawl is a gentle and loyal companion who will bring peace and quiet joy to your life. With time and understanding, Pawl will continue to blossom into the wonderful cat he’s meant to be.
