Meet Ruby, the tiny orange tabby with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life!

At around 12 weeks old, Ruby is the adventurous half of this orange tabby sister duo. While her sister is content to sit back and observe, Ruby is usually the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new corner, or figure out what everyone else is up to. Curious, clever, and full of confidence, she approaches life with the kind of enthusiasm that makes every day a little more entertaining.

Ruby is a vocal girl who isn't shy about sharing her opinions, whether she's asking for attention, announcing that it's mealtime, or providing commentary on the day's events. Her expressive personality is part of her charm, and it's impossible not to smile when she decides it's time to make her presence known!

Like any growing kitten, Ruby loves to play. Scratching posts, jingling balls, crinkle toys, feather wands, and just about any classic cat toy quickly earn her approval. She especially enjoys interactive play and can often be found recruiting her sister into a game or keeping a watchful eye on her favorite feline companion. The two share a special bond, and Ruby can be surprisingly protective of her sister despite her playful nature.

Since arriving in foster care, Ruby has done wonderfully with litter box training and happily eats both wet and dry food. She never turns down a Churu treat and has quickly learned that good things come to kittens who know where the treat cabinet is.

Ruby may take a moment to size up a new room before diving in, but don't let that fool you. This clever little orange tabby is simply taking inventory. Once she's satisfied that everything meets her standards, she's off exploring, playing, and charming everyone around her with her big personality and endless curiosity. While she's more energetic and independent than her sister, she still has a sweet side. After a day of exploring, playing, and supervising household activities, she's more than happy to curl up beside you for affection and quiet companionship.

She does well with the adults and teen in her foster home and has been exposed to a resident dog, though they are kept separate. Because Ruby can be spirited and enthusiastic, thoughtful introductions should be used with young children.

Like every kitten, Ruby will need time, patience, consistency, and plenty of love as she adjusts to a new home. She'll thrive with a family who understands that trust is built over time and who will let her personality blossom at her own pace. In return, you'll gain an incredibly intelligent, entertaining, and affectionate companion whose playful spirit and loving heart make every bit of that patience worthwhile!

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!

Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $800 and includes all vetting: FVRCP vaccines (minimum of 2), FeLV vaccines (minimum of 2), Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, combo tested, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a health certificate deeming the kitty healthy for travel, cost of transport, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
