Mary Shelley - Tabby Cat for Adoption in Culpeper, Virginia

Meet Mary Shelley! Mary is a beautiful brown tabby, about 2 years old. She is named after a famous author who wrote a very scary story and sadly, Mary almost had a own scary story. She had been a neighborhood stray for awhile and had many litters of kittens before she was trapped, pregnant again. The Good Samaritan was going to take Mary to a local shelter until she was advised that since she was "feral" and pregnant, she would be euthanized upon entering the shelter, per shelter policy. The finder placed a plea for help on FaceBook, Forgotten Felines was tagged and Mary came into our care.We saved 6 lives that day.

Mary was very pregnant and we soon found out that she was NOT feral, but instead a sweet cat that only wanted loved and to be cared for. Mary was a good mom to her kittens and, now that her mom duties are over, she is excited to write a brand new chapter for herself with her very own family. Mary would be a great companion cat. She enjoys following her foster mom around and is curious to see what she is doing. She is quiet and unassuming and we believe she gets along with other friendly cats. Her perfect home would be a quiet, low-activity home where she had a big window to look out of while pondering life. We believe she would adore being doted on as an only cat to a human who would treat her as a companion, confide in her, and tell her secrets. (She's working on a new tell-all novel!)
