Mako and his brothers (Bolin and Pabu) had a tough first few months of life before arriving in foster care. Despite their rocky start, all three have turned into beautiful, healthy, playful, and adventurous cats who would love nothing more than to find their forever homes! Mako has some corneal scarring on his left eye (as you will see in the pictures) from a bad upper respiratory infection that he arrived with. We are very thankful that weeks of ointments and serums helped Mako regain most of his sight and keep his eye!

Mako is a very sweet, curious little guy with some of the most beautiful markings! Due to his previous medical challenges, Mako is a little cautious with new environments and people at first (life is scary when you only have one functioning eye for most of your life!). With a little time, he will warm right up and show you just how much of a lovebug he truly is. Mako needs someone willing to help him keep learning that he is safe and that his days as a sickly street cat are long behind him. His favorite toys are scratchers, plastic spring toys, anything with feathers, and tunnels. He has gotten along well with all other cats and kittens in his foster home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
