Shirokuma (which means “white bear” in Japanese) once had a loving home, but after his beloved owner passed away, his world was turned upside down. Somehow, he ended up outside and spent nearly a year surviving on his own around the trailer park where he used to live—waiting, wandering, and holding onto hope.

Thankfully, he was finally brought to safety, and now this resilient boy is ready for a fresh start. Shirokuma may be a little shy when you first meet him—and who could blame him after everything he’s been through—but give him a little time and patience, and you’ll see his true self shine. Once he trusts you, he transforms into an absolute love bug. He enjoys gentle affection, quiet companionship, and being near his person where he feels safe again.

Because of his past, Shirokuma would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can continue to heal and feel secure. He doesn’t ask for much—just kindness, understanding, and someone who will never let him feel alone again.
