Please read Shania's bio, requirements for adoption and if you think she would be a good fit then go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form . An adoption co ordinator will be in touch We are looking for someone that knows and understands Siamese quirkiness and special needs.
Sept 2026 - Shania was rescued from a breeder hoarding situation mid July - breeder had been hospitalized and wouldn't be returning to her home. She was one of 18. Shania took a while to get her socialized, healthy and being part of a normal home. She has been flea treated, dewormed twice, received two sets of FVCRP vaccines plus her rabies, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350. This is what her foster mom has to say" My name is Shania . I am very sociable and love to play with the other cats and kittens in my foster home. I make friends with every other cat I meet. I am a foodie who loves to eat, especially my wet food, but don't worry - I will keep my sleek figure because I love to play.I often get the zoomies and race through the house up and down the stairs alone or with my friends. I love toys and carry them around in my mouth. My foster mom thinks it's funny when I walk through the room dragging a tunnel behind me because I have the attached ball in my mouth. When I want to chill out I climb to the highest spot in the house . That may be the top of a cat tree. In my foster home it's the top of the kitchen cupboards. I especially like to hang out with my mother Reba " It would be great if Shania could be adopted with Reba as they bring each other much comfort. If not she MUST go to a home with another young cat or kitten to keep her company. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. It is recommended that she starts out in a safe room with her food, litter and toys until she adjusts to yet a new environment. She is in a foster home in Burlington with Reba.
