Meet Seraphina

If you have been following the stories of Odelia and Charmelle, there is one more very special girl we would like you to meet.

This is Seraphina.

Seraphina is one of the six young girls we rescued this summer from the same horrific breeder/hoarding situation.

When they arrived, these girls didn’t understand what it meant to feel safe. They had spent their young lives in terrible conditions, without the love, care and security every animal deserves. They were frightened by unfamiliar people, new surroundings and even the smallest noises.

Over the past couple of months, we have watched them slowly begin to understand that their old life is over.

And each girl has blossomed at her own pace.

Odelia and Charmelle discovered fairly quickly that human affection can be pretty wonderful. Seraphina is taking a little more time.

At approximately 1–1.5 years old, Seraphina is the most reserved of the three girls. She is shy and cautious and prefers to observe before deciding that everything—and everyone—is okay.

And that’s perfectly fine with us.

After everything she experienced during the first year of her life, Seraphina has earned the right to take things at her own pace.

She isn’t the kind of cat who will necessarily walk into a new home and immediately climb into someone’s lap. She will need patience, understanding and time to build trust. But every little step she takes toward you will mean that much more because you will know that she made the decision herself.

For Seraphina, we believe there is something else that would make that transition much easier.

We would really love to see her adopted with either Odelia or Charmelle.

These girls went through their terrible beginning together, were rescued together, learned what safety feels like together, and have continued to find comfort in one another. Having one of her trusted friends beside her in a completely new home would give Seraphina the reassurance and confidence we believe she needs to continue blossoming.

So while Odelia and Charmelle can each be adopted on their own, our preference for Seraphina would be a home willing to welcome her together with one of them.

Seraphina is healthy and finally ready to begin the next chapter of her life.

We aren’t looking for someone who expects an instant lap cat.

We’re looking for someone who will celebrate the first time she chooses to sit nearby... the first time she comes looking for affection... the first time she realizes that this new place isn’t temporary.

It’s home.

Seraphina’s transformation may be happening a little more quietly than the others—but sometimes the most frightened hearts simply need a little more time.

And we have a feeling that watching this beautiful girl finally let her guard down will be worth every single minute.

The Scottish Fold is a charming cat breed known for its distinctive folded ears, round face, and sweet expression. They are friendly, affectionate, and enjoy the company of their human family. Scottish Folds have a medium to large build with a plush coat that can come in various colors and patterns. Their playful and gentle nature makes them great companions for families and singles alike.
