CAROLINA is a sweet gentle little girl. She is one of 8 girls in a litter of 10 kittens. She was found living a collapsing garage with her siblings and her mother just trying to stay alive. It was scary and every day was another day that these babies had to stay hidden and quiet so they weren't noticed and would live for another day.

PetPromise heard about them and came to their rescue when they were about 6 weeks old, They were all afraid and had no idea that things were about to change for them for the better in a matter of hours.

Now Carolina is still shy but she is growing stronger and more confident every day. She is learning not to be afraid. She's a sweet, gentle soul that is learning to play and cuddle. She will need a person that is gentle and is willing to give her a lifetime of love and a commitment for the next 15-20 years.

Carolina loves other cats and kittens (and will need to be adopted with one of her siblings unless you have another kitten at home already.) She has been around dogs. She is a very sweet little girl that deserves a wonderful home where she can be loved and feel safe maybe for the first time in her life!

We do not have a shelter or sanctuary. All pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted.

We require a home visit as part of the application process. We are only able to coordinate home visits where we have local volunteers.

All of the cats in our care and available for adoption have been rescued from shelters, the streets or from neglect or abuse situations. We do our best to determine the given breed or breeds of any cat or kitten in our program based on our experience and advice of professionals.

NOTE: PetPromise requires that young kittens 6 months or under be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten. This policy is intended to ensure that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Also, PetPromise requires all pets be spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption. However, if you are interested in a particular kitten you may apply to adopt the kitten and once approved, you may enter into a Foster to Adopt Agreement whereby you agree to foster the kitten(s) for PetPromise until PetPromise have the kitten(s) fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Once the vet care is complete an official adoption will be completed.
