Pearl - Persian Cat for Adoption in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Pearl is looking for a very special forever home. Kit E Kat's Rescue is helping Pearl's mom do just that. Here is what her mom wrote -

This is an incredibly difficult decision, but due to upcoming hospitalizations and ongoing kidney and heart issues, I need to find Pearl a home where she can receive the care and attention she deserves.

Over the past few months, Pearl has become very resistant to being groomed from the waist down. The grooming itself isn't difficult, but I live alone and simply don't have anyone to help hold her safely. Unfortunately, there are no experienced cat groomers in my area.

I also won't have her groomed under anesthesia. I previously took Pearl and my Yorkie to the veterinarian for dental procedures, and a tragic incident occurred during my Yorkie's surgery. Because of that experience, I am no longer comfortable having Pearl sedated unless it is medically necessary.

I don't want Pearl to become matted because I can't properly groom her. She would do best in a home with two adults, or in an area where experienced cat groomers are available.

Pearl is frightened by young children who run, chase, or pull her tail due to past experiences with grandchildren. Older, respectful children are perfectly fine. In a busy home with young children, she would likely spend most of her time hiding.

She has a calm, gentle personality and is very laid-back. She has lived with both dogs and cats and generally ignores them unless they are aggressive, in which case she simply walks away and hides. One of her favorite things is relaxing on a screened-in porch, watching the birds and squirrels.

Pearl was born in February 2025. She is:

* Spayed
* Microchipped
* Up to date on vaccinations
* On flea prevention
* Healthy
* Litter box trained (she currently uses two litter boxes)

She does need a little routine care, including daily eye cleaning and weekly ear cleaning.

Pearl is a beautiful white cat with silver-tipped fur and stunning green eyes.

My only goal is to find the perfect home where she will be loved, understood, and cared for for the rest of her life. If you think you may be the right match, please send me a message and tell me a little about yourself and the home you could provide for Pearl.
