This cat is one of several purebred manx cats who came to us from a home with more than 50 cats. Due to their previous living conditions, these cats arrived at our facility with multiple upper respiratory ailments. The group has been PCR tested, cultured, and treated; however, in cases where cats have been so heavily exposed to upper respiratory illness for so long, it is possible that even otherwise-healthy cats may experience recurring bouts of illness over the course of their lives.

If you have other cats in your home, we recommend having a conversation with your veterinarian about any potential risks so you can make an informed adoption decision. It's also important to consider the financial commitment required for a pet who may have greater veterinary needs than average.
