Houdini is available through our foster-to-adopt program.
He's a super affectionate sweet talker who love to give kisses and be where his person is. He is 15 years old, neutered, a champion litterbox user, fine in a kennel and car rides and amazing at a vet office. He adores catnip toys and playing fetch, a cat tree with a window seat or two is his favorite! He grew up with and lived with dogs and other cats, (he's been a perfect gentleman with our female foundation cats). He is a picky eater and prefers to graze, he's on special food for GI and to encourage weight gain. He has had his senior blood panel which showed Hypothyroid (he takes 2 pills a day). He is a candidate for the Feline Hypothyroid Clinic (we are working on approval), if his foster to adopt home would like this option. He would do best in a larger home (townhome or house) as he loves to roam, and he is vocal so apartment life may get him into trouble.
He has had his rabies vaccine and his combo vaccine (which will need to have a booster in 4 weeks). He enjoys being brushed and catered to, he is not a snuggler but he really loves food time! Houdini was surrendered to us when his lifelong person moved into assisted living, and she had to choose between taking him and her senior dog (we've promised his mom that we will find the best home possible for him).
Houdini is strictly and INDOOR cat. Houdini also has had a fecal/urinalysis performed; he may need a dental (we can discuss). Houdini's medical care was sponsored through The Buttercup Fund, (our new grant) for senior cats and their owners. His primary vet is located in Renton, and the Thyroid Center would be the Tacoma location. Please understand this is where he would be seen for vet appointments, you would need to be able to make the agreed upon appointments during the foster period.
We will post more photos soon, don't miss your chance on this boy (he's one in a million) a typical Maine Coon with all the wonderful breed attributes.
Please do not call or email us (on our website is our foster form), we are hard at work creating our cat forms, but we've not completed then just yet. Please fill out our dog foster form as you would answer for a cat. We appreciate you!
