This sweet girl has had the hardest life. She was the sickest little kitten when she was first rescued. Carly, her foster, hugged her close every night, not sure if she'd live to see another sunrise. But, thanks to Carly's loving care and her indomitable spirit, survive she did. She was adopted and all seemed well until Carly was contacted by Mable's family. Unfortunately, they'd fallen on hard times and were having to move in with family, who wouldn't let Mable come with them. After trying to find a place for her at numerous rescues and failing, Carly finally contacted POSNA. Mable is such a sweet kitty, she quickly found another home. All seemed well till her second family contacted us to say things weren't working out with their other cat, who was jealous of Mable. Sadly, back she came again. We soon realized she was having health problems, probably because of all the stress she'd been through. Ater some false starts, she was diagnosed with mega colon, a condition where the colon loses the ability to pass stool, causing serious constipation. Fortunately, there is a surgery to cure this problem, which was done. Thankfully that has solved the problem and she's back to being the happy, healthy, lovable girl she always was. Thank goodness for that!
Mable is about 6 years old. She's been spayed, wormed, vaccinated and is a very good girl with her litter box. She gets along great with other cats and absolutely adores people. A Maine Coon cross, she has the friendly, charming personality her breed is known for. And she's a World Class purrer too. The slightest touch from her admirers will start her motor humming away. There's nothing she likes better than getting lots of cuddles and hanging out with her special humans. The more time she can spend with her 2-legged family members the happier she will be.
