Ash - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in York, Pennsylvania

Depending when you're reading this, these kittens might not look like much at the shelter, but once they adjust to coming in, we think you'll quite like them! Ash is part of a litter of five who were brought in and raised as a personal project by an experienced shelter foster. Over the last month, these kittens have gone through baby bootcamp to prepare to start a life better than their mother's, and they seem to be ready-as soon as the shelter spookies goes away. Their foster wrote they loved to play, they all enjoyed affection including being held (three with enthusiasm and two with more reservations), and are not afraid of strangers.

Ash was fostered with their littermate siblings, dogs, and elementary aged children and was tolerant of everyone. Given their transition to the shelter life was a little overwhelming, we recommend slow, well-managed introductions follow a period of separation that would allow them to get settled and confident in the new space before throwing in another thing to adjust to. The majority of kittens are quite resilient with their housemates, so as long as you're willing to take a chance on Ash and give them the time they need, we think they'll surprise you with who they become!
