All The Fixins - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in York, Pennsylvania

With a little bit of everything, ex-stray All The Fixins was found by a dumpster with her four kittens. We aren't sure if she was overwhelmed with being a mother, the change to shelter life, or both, but she was not thrilled to meet us in her early days. After being given space to herself, she started to shower us with affection within the week-she is a persistent head butter and leg rubber now! She even lets us pick her up to put her back in her cage, which is impressive as she would MUCH rather be out exploring and getting cheek scratches!

That said, All The Fixins has spent some time on the streets and has opinions about her handling, so an adult-only home that can read body language and let her set the pace is preferred. Pat her by the tail too many times and she'll use her voice to let you know what she thinks of that! Likewise, we aren't sure if her earlier behavior around her kittens was circumstantial or if All The Fixins would be best as an only pet. If placing with another household pet, we would recommend lowkey resident animals and a very slow introduction process to give the best chance of success. All The Fixins might not be be a match for all families, but for the right one, she is ready to reward your patience with lots of purrs!
