Derby - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Meet Derby! This gorgeous all-black mama has already raised her own little Midlands crew--Nottingham, Birmingham, and Durham--and now it's finally her turn to find a forever home of her own. Like the city she's named after, Derby has plenty of charm waiting to be discovered. She may not be the first to race over and greet you, but don't let that throw you off track! Derby is a shy girl who takes a little time to warm up, but once you've earned her trust, you'll find a gentle, loyal companion who enjoys the company of the people she knows best.

One shortcut to Derby's heart? Mealtime! Derby is always happy when it's time to eat, and she'll let you know with her adorable little meows. Whether she's reminding you the food bowl could use a refill or simply asking for some attention, Derby isn't afraid to speak up when she has something to say. Because of her tummy troubles, Derby is on a specific diet. Her dietary needs are an important part of her care, so if you're interested in making Derby part of your family, please speak with one of our staff members for more information about her diet and how to help keep her happy and healthy.

She's looking for a patient adopter who understands that the best friendships aren't always built at full speed. Give her the time and space to settle in, and you'll be rewarded with quiet companionship, sweet conversations, and a loving companion who's well worth the journey. If you're ready to stay the course and let love reach the finish line at Derby's pace, she'll happily make your home her final destination.
