Sage - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Wichita, Kansas

Meet Furrari, who is mighty fast! This 1.5-year-old girl was found by one of our KHS Board members, Emily, out in our parking lot after a board meeting, where we believe she was dumped. We named her Furrari, as she took us on one heck of a trip around the parking lot, hiding under cars and trucks. Emily texted me to come help her, and eventually, we were joined by our Lead Veterinarian, Dr. Schad, then Konnor, our Volunteer Coordinator. She nearly got away several times, and Dr. Schad and I got our clothes all wet climbing under trucks and falling in snow, but eventually, Furrari got tired, and Dr. Schad was able to wrap her up in a blanket. It was a short walk to Wichita Animal Services to have her serve her mandatory stray hold. She was spayed yesterday and is ready for her forever home. Our Behavior Department recommends an only-cat home or slowly introducing her to other cats, as she's hissed at several cats in her loft while at WAS.
