Samwise Gamgee ( bonded to Meridoc) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Wheaton, Illinois

Samwise Gamgee loves adventure, and he loves to play! Samwise was born a couple days after his brothers, and he's spent the rest of his kittenhood making up for lost time. Even though his brothers had a two-day head start, Samwise was determined to be the first to open his eyes, days before Merry or Pippin! Samwise is the first kitten to come running to greet you when you come in his room (followed closely by his best friend/brother Meriadoc Brandybuck!) Samwise LOVES to play, and climb both you and cat trees. He likes to sit on shoulders and oversee the scooping of litter, he's the first to taste-test the food, and when he's all tuckered out from play, he enjoys a good snuggle. Samwise and Merry are perfecting their synchronized jumping over the baby gate they closes off the foster room at he foster pawrents' house, and they love to play on the bed. Samwise learned the love of churus from his momma, and of the three boys, he's the only one addicted to them (so far.)

Samwise is bonded to his brother Merry, and they must be adopted together. Without his brother at his side, Samwise turns into a quaking leaf, and all his bravery is gone. If you are looking for an orange and brown tabby duo, masters of chaos and fun, Samwise and Merry might be your guys!

Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home.

Adoption Fees



Kittens (under 6 months): $175 or 2 for $300


Adults (over 6 months): $150


Seniors (10+) / Special Needs: $100

We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you're ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying.


Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)
