Born on the Fourth of July as the very first kitten in the litter, Firecracker entered the world leading the charge. Since then, however, he's spent most of his time proving that being first doesn't necessarily mean being the smartest. As a classic orange kitty, Firecracker seems to share the community brain cell with the rest of orange cat-kind, and most days it appears to be someone else's turn.

Firecracker is usually found wandering around with a delightfully confused expression on his face, looking like he's trying very hard to remember what he was doing. Every now and then, you can practically see the gears turning as he gets incredibly close to a breakthrough... before getting distracted by a toy, a sibling, or absolutely nothing at all. His goofy, derpy personality keeps everyone around him laughing.

Despite his occasional lack of focus, Firecracker is an incredibly sweet kitten who loves to play and spend time with his family. He enjoys wrestling with his siblings, chasing toys, and investigating every corner of the room with the confidence of a kitten who has absolutely no idea what's going on. His easygoing nature makes him a joy to have around.

As a kitten, Firecracker took his time figuring out solid food and was the last of the litter to master eating on his own. Once he finally cracked the code, though, he became a true professional. These days he has a healthy appetite and never misses a meal. While eating took a little extra practice, he's always been a litter box superstar and has never had any accidents.

Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home.

Adoption Fees



Kittens (under 6 months): $175 or 2 for $300


Adults (over 6 months): $150


Seniors (10+) / Special Needs: $100

We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you're ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying.


Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.)
