I am Daisy! I am a beautiful female calico kitten with the biggest eyes and the softest fur. Sometimes my lip gets stuck on my teeth but that's just part of my charm.
I have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (commonly known as CH), which is a lifelong neurological condition that affects my coordination and balance. While I can't quite walk yet, I can roll, flip around, and pull myself from place to place, which is why I prefer to be on a softer, carpeted area or rug. I am still getting stronger each day and trying hard to take full steps (I've made quite a bit of progress!). My wobbles don't slow me down, though—I love to play and chase crinkle toys and my brother, Dewey, who also has CH. I cannot jump or climb (yet), so for now I prefer all of my toys to be low to the ground.
Although I am interested in other cats, I have a tough time playing and keeping up due to my wobbles, so for now I just play with my brother, Dewey. He is my best friend, and we love to play and snuggle with each other.
I eat dry kitten food and wet food, but I love treats. I use wide, shallow dishes for my food and water. I like my dishes on a non-slip surface or silicone mat so they don't move around while I am eating. Wet food can be a little messy, so I need help wiping my face and paws after.
I need a litter box with a wide, low entry and pellet litter. I try my best to make it to the litter box every time, but I do occasionally have accidents if I can't make it there in time. My foster mom says adding potty pads around the litter box area is helpful.
My wobbles can make me bump into things and get stuck in places by accident, so it's important that Ihave regular supervision and a space that is clean and free of hazards to help keep me safe (cords, loose items that could be pulled down, water bowls that are too deep, and things that could be knocked over).
I navigate life a little differently, but I'm just like other kittens! I am a sweet, playful kitten who would love nothing more than a life full of love, snuggles, toys, and treats. Chasing crinkle toys, practicing my zoomies, playing with my brother, and purring in someone's lap are my favorite things. It is important that I find someone who has the time and patience to learn about my condition and is willing to make the adaptations I need to help me live a happy, healthy life.
