Meet Benny! Benny is only 1 year old, but he has already received a diagnosis of diabetes and needs someone willing to give him a chance. This sweet, affectionate boy loves attention and has never let his medical challenges dim his spirit. Benny is currently receiving treatment for diabetes and an ear infection and he will need ongoing medical care, including a future dental procedure. Despite everything, Benny remains social, loving, and ready to be someone's best friend. We know there is a special adopter or rescue out there who will see beyond his diagnosis and recognize the wonderful cat he is. Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
