Cat Woman was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). It is a disease that can't be treated, but she is still able to live a happy and healthy life! FeLV is shed in the saliva and can be transmitted to other cats from behaviors like grooming and head butting as well as shared water or food bowls. She was also exposed to FIV, but has tested negative. The risk of transmission is moderate, so the adopter will need to use their best judgment regarding co-housing with negative resident cats.
