DESCRIPTION

This is Referral Bonus, otherwise known as Bo, otherwise known as the tiny fake siamese dictator who has apparently mistaken her foster home for her personal estate. Bo is sassy. She is sweet. She is absolutely ridiculous. And she has already made it very clear that she has no intention of behaving like a guest. Because Bo did not stay in a foster home. Bo MOVED IN.

She has reviewed the property, assessed the accommodations, inspected the staff, and determined that she will be requiring full access to the premises. Containment? Denied. Boundaries? Rejected. The concept of “this is not actually your house”? She has declined to believe this statement. Bo has made it abundantly clear that she would like to live her life as a free-range household cat, thank you very much. She wanders around like she pays the mortgage, has never once questioned whether she's actually allowed somewhere, and seems genuinely confused when anyone suggests maybe she should not be on the counter. She is technically a referral, but the bonus is 100% in personality and 0% in actual compensation.

Bo has also developed a particular fondness for the stairwell, where she likes to sit and cry. Why? Nobody knows. Is she lonely? Impossible. Does she need something? Probably not. Does she simply enjoy the acoustics and like hearing her own voice echo through the house? Honestly, yes, this. And because foster mom and dad are apparently trained professionals in Bo translation, they have learned that when she starts yelling from the stairwell, the correct response is: “Bo Beans, what's up?” And she likes this. She likes knowing that her complaints have been received and acknowledged by management.

She is also the proud inventor of what we have lovingly named The Arched-Back Run and Popcorn Hop. This is where Bo suddenly decides that walking like a normal cat is far too boring, arches her entire back, gets approximately 2 inches taller, and takes off running and hopping through the house like she's being pursued by the IRS. So the thought that she might be embezzling company money has come up, but that is an investigation for a different day... Nobody knows where she's going. She doesn't even know where she's going. But she is going there VERY dramatically. And then, just as quickly, she's back to being a sweet little baby looking for attention.

And Bo does have one very important HR policy: when she is DONE, she is DONE. If the other cats keep trying to play when she's no longer interested, she will let out a dramatic little growl/moan combo that sounds like she is preparing to file a formal grievance. She isn't being mean. She's just saying, “Thank you, but this meeting is over.” Bo is actually very good at telling the other cats when she's had enough. She'll give them the full “I have asked you nicely” performance, complete with grumbles, moans, and maximum drama. She knows when she wants to play, and she knows when she wants everyone to GET OFF HER LAWN.

All in all, she is just a really great kitten. Referral Bonus will absolutely thrive anywhere. As long as she has another playful cat to keep up with her shenanigans and respect her boundaries! She's ready to leave foster, walk into her forever home, and immediately start acting like she has lived there her entire life. Which, to be fair, is exactly what she plans to do.

Transferable skills: Sass, charm, dramatic vocal performances, unauthorized property acquisition, and making herself at home literally anywhere.
Career outlook: Extremely promising.
Likelihood of thriving in her forever home: 100%.
Likelihood of believing she owns your house: Also 100%.
