Slinky 2.0's story didn't start out easy, but you'd never know it by meeting him today.
He came to Milo's Bravest Friends after surviving a devastating injury. Part of one of his back legs was missing, and the bone was actually protruding from what remained of his little nub. Somehow, despite everything he had been through, he was still the sweetest, happiest boy, soaking up every ounce of love he could find.
Our veterinary team determined that the best path forward was a full amputation. We nursed him through surgery, watched him heal, and cheered him on every step of the way.
Someone should probably tell Slinky he's missing a leg, because he certainly hasn't noticed. He runs, climbs, wrestles with toys, zooms around the house, and explores every corner with complete confidence. His three legs don't slow him down for even a second, they've simply become part of what makes him unique.
One of the biggest misconceptions about tripod cats is that they need a home full of special accommodations. Slinky is here to prove otherwise. He doesn't need ramps, special litter boxes, or any modifications to your home. He flies up and down stairs, jumps onto furniture, uses a regular litter box perfectly, and does everything a four-legged cat does. In every way that matters, he's a completely typical young cat who just happens to have one less leg.
Slinky 2.0 is one of the happiest, funniest, most affectionate cats you'll ever meet. He has a huge personality packed into one little tuxedo body. He loves everyone he meets, is always ready for playtime, and has a knack for making people laugh with his goofy antics. Whether he's chasing toys, flopping into your lap for cuddles, or following you around the house just to be involved, he brings joy wherever he goes.
Slinky 2.0 has healed beautifully, is healthy, and is more than ready to find the forever family he's always deserved. After everything he's overcome, we can't wait for him to know what it's like to have a home where he'll never have to struggle again.
Slinky is young, 1-2 years old. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and absolutely perfect in every way. $100 suggested donation to our non-profit as an adoption fee.
