Meet Baby Rao! Rao is a 3mo lady from St. Thomas. Rao is one of the sweetest, most playful and affectionate kittens we have had the honor of working with. Her sweet, bubbly personality would never have you guessing she has been through one heck of a life -- she was rescued as a homeless stray in St. Thomas and recently lost her sister due to a serious infection. Her resilience is awe-inspiring and her zest for life has kept all our spirits up here at our shelter! Despite what the rhetoric of media says....Rao is our good luck, good-vibe charm. She makes us all feel so loved :,)
Rao's favorite thing is fetch. Yes, that's right...like a dog! She will spend hours catching and returning small balls and springs. Fun for the whole family ;) After playtime, she will take to whoever has a warm and welcoming lap and snuggle up for...well, forever if she could!
Rao would do well in a home with other cat(s). We also could see her being the solo-attention-haver of a household of humans so long as she can get sufficient play and snuggle time. She would thrive with kids and we suspect she'd get along swimmingly with any mellow pup :)

Off the Rocks Animal Rescue is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to the aid of homeless cats. We are based in Massachusetts and St. Thomas, USVI. In addition to education and advocacy, we transport adoptable pets from areas of overpopulation to the Northeast, where they are adopted permanent homes.
