Adopt 2-year-old female cat, Mila.
Due to Allergies, upcoming changes in my living situation, and difficulty managing her care needs have led me to consider rehoming Mila.
About Mila:
• Breed/color: Domestic shorthair, black and white
• Spayed: Yes
• Declawed: No
• Vaccinations: Her veterinary records show that rabies and FVRCP are current. She has not received the FeLV vaccine.
Mila enjoys relaxing on her cat tree, under the bed, and on furniture. She also greets us when we come home. She is curious and friendly with visitors—she approaches them to sniff, sometimes tries to sit on their laps, and will play when they engage her.
She enjoys affection on her terms and does not tolerate prolonged holding or restraint well, particularly during nail trims. She can react defensively in those situations, so she needs someone who respects her boundaries.
She has spent time around a child approximately 9 years old and teenagers, but has no experience with younger children. She has no experience with other pets, so her compatibility with dogs and other cats is unknown.
She chews plastic and straws and may sometimes swallow pieces, so these items need to be kept out of reach. She also scratches furniture.
Mila enjoys supervised time on our porch, which is open at the top. She is curious about the outdoors and may try to slip outside when a door opens, so her adopter will need to be careful around entrances and keep any outdoor time secure and supervised.
Mila has ongoing scooting after bowel movements and has been evaluated by her veterinarian several times. Her anal glands were expressed in July, but the scooting continued. At her most recent visit, her vet recommended Metamucil, 12 teaspoon once daily in her food. I have not started it because I was concerned about possible side effects. I can provide her veterinary records so her future adopter can follow up with their veterinarian about her care.
My priority is finding a patient, loving adopter who understands her personality and is prepared for her needs.
If you can give Mila a safe and loving patient home, please fill out an application here
