Small Pox - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Warwick, Rhode Island

Small Pox is a 4-month-old girl with a softer approach to life—and she's hoping to find a home where she can take her time getting comfortable.

Her littermates Rickets, Scurvy, Typhoid, Bubonic Plague, and Tuberculosis are all playful kittens who love to wrestle, but Small Pox prefers her fun a little more gently. While her brothers can turn playtime into a full-contact sporting event, she appreciates a good game without quite so much body-slamming.

Small Pox is also one of the shyer kittens in the group. New people and unfamiliar surroundings can be overwhelming, so she needs a calm, quiet environment and plenty of time to settle in. She would do best with adults or older children who can give her the patience and space she needs to build confidence.

Once she feels safe, you'll get to see the playful, sweet kitten hiding underneath that initial shyness. And because she is still a young kitten, Small Pox must be adopted with a sibling or into a home with another friendly, young, playful cat.

She may not be the first one to rush over and introduce herself, but give her time and you'll discover that the sweetest friendships are sometimes the ones you have to earn.
