Meet Mercury! This sweet 5-year-old girl may not be the first cat to march up and introduce herself, but give her a little time and a confident feline friend to show her the ropes, and you’ll start to see her shine.

Mercury is a very skittish girl who can be easily startled by loud noises and sudden movements. She takes her cues from the cats around her, watching what they do and following their lead, so having a friendly, confident cat in her forever home is a must. She’s basically the feline version of “let me see what everyone else is doing first.”

Once Mercury decides you’re trustworthy, she’ll allow you to pet her—as long as you take things slowly and let her set the pace. She may need a little extra patience at first, but watching her confidence grow and seeing her finally relax into affection will be so worth it.

Mercury is looking for a quiet, patient home with a friendly cat who can be her personal confidence coach. She may take a little time to come out of her shell, but this sweet girl has so much potential waiting to be discovered.
