I have this as a bio for the boys. Let me know what you think. I can email it to you too:
Lemony and Snicket are brothers, approximately five months old, looking for their next chapter together! This bonded pair arrived at their foster home as the "Sweet and Spicy" kittens, both very frightened of people. With six weeks of patience, play, and love, they've made huge strides.
Snicket, our handsome gray tabby, was originally the spicy boy. Approaching him earned a hiss, and touching him was met with hissing and spitting. These days, he seeks out attention, greets his foster mom with a sweet little mew, and leans into an outstretched hand for pets. Shoulder and back scritches are his favorites! He also has affectionate head butts for his brother and his feline foster buddy, Stig.
Lemony, our darling orange tabby, has always been the shy, sweet purring boy. He's the more reserved brother now, but a gentle approach brings out his affectionate side. He especially loves head, shoulder, and chin scritches and happily greets Stig with head butts of his own.
Both boys appreciate being allowed to set the pace. Approach slowly or let them come to you, and they'll lean into pets and boop your hand to ask for more. Their window beds and cat tree are favorite places to relax and enjoy some attention.
And when it's playtime? Bring out the wand toys or laser pointer! They love interactive play with their foster mom and her kids. Temptations and Greenies treats are also a welcome way to make friends.
These boys adore other cats and warmed up to their foster family's two resident kitties right away. They cuddle together and follow each other and Stig around. They even love Scotty, although Scotty doesn't quite return their enthusiasm! They could be wonderful companions for a friendly resident cat who would enjoy two new buddies.
Lemony and Snicket would do best with patient adopters, including children who understand cats, use gentle interactions, and let the boys come to them. They're still getting comfortable with being picked up and currently tolerate only brief, gentle handling. Their foster mom has been practicing with quick little lifts to bring them to their food dishes. Their new family should continue respecting their comfort levels as they build confidence. Their experience with dogs is unknown.
Lemony and Snicket must be adopted together. They are most certainly a bonded pair. They'll need time to settle into a new home and show their sweet, playful personalities. Watching these once frightened boys learn to trust has been such a joy, and their next family will get to help that story continue.
