Emily is looking for a very specific, compassionate home with a safe space to live out her retirement on her own terms. Emily was originally rescued as an outdoor feral cat at age 12 and has chosen a completely "hands-off" lifestyle for the last few years. She currently lives entirely under a bed in her own room and never comes out when humans are present, but her caretaker hears her bumping and thumping whenever she is alone, possibly some short zoomies or sprinting across the room. Because of her background, Emily is not a cuddle bug and cannot be handled. She is looking for an adopter who wants someone who is happy just knowing they are providing a safe, warm indoor life for a 15-year-old cat who prefers her privacy.
Emily needs an experienced feral cat adopter in a home with a quiet spare room where she can live peacefully without the pressure to socialize. If you have experience with ferals and seniors, or want to give a hidden cat a safe place to crash, complete an adoption application at pawswakefieldma.org.
