Meet Stetson!
This confident, mellow, affectionate older kitten was born at the foster home, Feb. 23, 2026, to a surrendered mom cat. Stetson watches for you at the window, greets you at the door, and follows you around wanting attention. He sometimes reaches up requested to be picked up and held. He then rubs against your face, touches your nose, and gives kitty kisses. Stetson purrs as soon as he has contact with a trusted person. He enjoys watching wildlife at the window, plays with interactive toys and by himself with favorite cat toys. He jumps in or lets you place him into your lap and stays for short sessions of brushing and petting. Then Stetson is off to zoom around and play like a typical active kitten.
He is very friendly with trusted folks and friendly with strangers after 30 minutes. Stetson is quiet until meal time when he voices his impatience. He is mostly white with an orange spot on his back and forehead and orange tail. Stetson is passive with most other cats and gets along with the foster’s large, gentle dog. He uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits.
This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
