DESCRIPTION
Meet Tom
This all-around great guy and handsome fellow loves attention and people! Tom is just adorable, with the wide head and neck of a long time, unneutered male. While fearful and shy at first, all has changed. Tom meows to get attention, rolls to have his belly rubbed and is right at home. He's not a fan of wet food but loves his kibble and people (have we mentioned that?)
Tom was living with a family with young children and other cats and dogs. They could not afford to neuter him and he began to spray to mark his territory. Since being neutered for several weeks now, we have seen no spraying behavior at all. He should do well with a variety of companions and many types of homes.
Tom is FIV positive. Sadly, he had been let outside from his prior home where he was once attacked by another cat and badly injured. FIV is something to be aware of but not afraid of. Humans can't get it from cats. Since cats can be infected only through deep bite wounds, Tom can live with other non-aggressive cats. With a good diet and regular vet care, he can have a long, love-filled life with the lucky people who become his furever family.
