Meet Butterscotch
Some stories begin with joy... Butterscotch's began with heartbreak.
This sweet, gentle young mama was found wandering alone in a busy McDonald's parking lot—very pregnant, famished, covered in fleas, and terrified. Someone had abandoned her there to fend for herself, carrying babies that would soon be born.
A kind Good Samaritan couldn't bear to leave her behind and brought her to safety.
Just hours after her rescue, Butterscotch gave birth.
For the first time in who knows how long, she had a warm, safe place to rest and the chance to do what she wanted most—to lovingly care for her babies. Despite everything she had endured, she was the most devoted mother, gently nurturing each of her kittens until they were old enough to begin their own lives.
One by one, every one of her precious babies found loving homes.
Now it's Butterscotch's turn.
She has watched each of her kittens leave for their happily ever after while she patiently waits, wondering when someone will finally choose her.
Butterscotch isn't asking for much. She dreams of a soft bed, a sunny window, gentle hands to reassure her, and a family who will promise that she will never again be abandoned, never again go hungry, never again be left to survive alone, and never again have to wonder if anyone will come for her.
She has already given everything she had to her babies.
Now all she wants is someone to give their heart to her.
Please open your heart to Butterscotch. After everything she's been through, she deserves to know what it feels like to truly be home.
