Bonded with Sherlock
I'll probably hide a little here and there at first, but I'll see Sherlock out and start to be brave. I will soon be very social and want to be with you guys! I'll cautiously explore and find a couple of good spots I can go when something makes me nervous, but I won't stay there all the time and will come out if you want me to! You can help by having soft mats or cushions that are big enough for us to share, and putting one or two in some quiet parts of the rooms, especially for me.
At times when I'm feeling insecure, Sherlock will keep coming to check in on me. When I'm out exploring, he likes to come and hang out with me some of the time too. He's been trying to show me this toy he likes, and as I'm learning to feel comfortable here, I've just begun to start playing with it too! Since we don't play with other toys that much yet, we would love for you to get us one of the touch activated toys that moves under a sheet and has a fluttering butterfly on top, from Amazon. We'll continue to relax and enjoy life, and you will enjoy watching us play together, starting to have so much fun! You can keep encouraging me to play. Wand toys are a good starting place, plus it's something we can do together! We can even invite Sherlock to join in!
I'll come find you often to get some reassuring and very welcomed pets on my head, a neck massage and scratches down my back! I'm kind of stressed being picked up and held, but you can tell I do NOT hate it!! We can practice with lots of cuddling and holding me will definitely be something we both enjoy before long! Don't be surprised if I end up in your lap quite often! I should be fine with gentle kids. I'm on the ground a lot, but I also like sitting up off the floor sometimes, so will enjoy being on our cat tree with extra large shelves and a built in box to sleep safely in, or on the couch with you!
