Arthur - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Arthur is a unique case for us at Animal Welfare. Arthur is estimated to be about 2 years old, has now been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is FIV negative but unfortunately is FeLV positive.

In a lot of shelters, cats that are FeLV positive are euthanized. What is FeLV? It is a virus that attacks the cats immune system. Arthur can live a happy, normal life, but his life expectancy is going to be shorter. FeLV is contagious only to other cats. Arthur has a quicker chance at getting sick because his immune system is compromised.

What does Arthur need? Arthur needs:
-To be in a home where he is indoors only
-To be the only cat or be in a home with other FeLV positive cats.
-Arthur needs to see a veterinarian when/if he ever seems sick, so that his symptoms can be addressed promptly.
