Illene - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in St. Peters, Missouri

Illene came to Heartland after a finder posted her on social media. She had been hanging around their property, then disappeared for a week and came back with an injury. The photos showed a broken leg and a hungry girl. She had obviously been through alot!Heartland took her in and got her to the vet to care for her injuries. Unfortunately the broken leg was not salvigable, so an amputation was performed. She has healed well and is getting around just fine! Illene is a petite, quiet girl. She is a little hesitant at first to accept pets, then leans into them and starts purring. She just needs some time to learn that she can trust. She has a great appetite and is slowly showing interest in playing. Illene is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is current on vaccinations.
